A few from baseball..D this time..

D as a runner, waiting to steal 3rd base.. He had a great hit to left field, I unfortunately missed it due to trying to get into position for his at bat..

D has been playing 2nd base and is becoming a wonderful 2nd baseman.. this was a ball he made a great stop and was able to finish it out with a perfect throw and catch to 1st..it was an awesome play..

And this one isn't even D..but I loved the capture..the pop fly catch with a little dirt dust flying around.. I told Dan I was ready to go home when I saw this one on my LCD- I was kidding, of course...

Enjoy..

B...

Check out who was on the mound tonight... First time pitching against a batter (during game time)..he pitches to D all the time, but never when balls/strikes matter. He did a great job, his first batter, hit the ball and was out at first. The second batter he struck out..YAY for B!! The 3rd batter hit the ball back to B and he slowed it down then got a grab of it, but the coaches didn't want him doing anything with it by then..And he then walked a couple batters. But all in all, he did GREAT for his first time pitching. His coaches were pretty proud of him, as well as his parents.. Our boys won and are doing great in their league play..Go INDIANS!!

The boys, last evening..just 'them'..

So last evening the boys and I were just outside chatting and waiting for Dad to get back from his running.. I haven't taken many of them lately..and thought I'd update you all on how they are doing and what is going on..

D has been wearing his hats backwards, he thinks it's funny looking.. He just LOVES baseball. He thinks about it nearly all the time. If the Indians are playing, he's probably listening to the game. His favorite players are Grady Sizemore and Cliff Lee. He's also a pretty big Atlanta Braves fan, and he likes Chipper Jones..

Now, J was playing in this tiny water puddle. J was enjoying jumping up and down and driving his little matchbox car in the puddle. Well after I buckled J in to the van, I found D jumping in the puddle 'pretending to be J'... What a GOOF..

And, B.. He's such a good baseball player as well. He enjoys playing in Left Field, he says his favorite positions are Left Field and Pitcher. He has quite an arm, and an accurate one too. His bat is moving pretty good now as well..

L..Now this little guy, is SOMETHING ELSE, haven't quite figured him out. He's rough, he's tough and he has a sweet spirit. Always giving to people. I still get letters and cards and candy daily. Today he made us a mailbox that sits outside our bedroom door. Inside the mailbox was a letter addressed: 'To: DAN'..LOL..DAN!! And I had a green apple jolly rancher in there..so sweet.
He has a battle wound on his face. He was outside playing with B, and a tipped over car and somehow the stick he was carrying got him near his eye.. we also think he might have a little allergy problem right now, as he's constantly rubbing his eyes..poor guy..
And Little J..he's so curious. Loves to be outside to 'pay'..Still likes his hats.. He's talking so much lately as well. Telling us where to go for dinner, who to visit (frequently it's Aunt Sue-Sue)..Funny he calls Sharon, Sue-Sue, but he can say Aunt Monica..Hmm.. The boys still do a lot for him, they just adore their little brother.

So that's what's going on in our house. The boys are playing Baseball till the end of June and then things will slow down. Maybe then we'll take a vacation. They have school until June 5th.. YAY..I'm excited about that. We'll begin frequent walks to the library and park. We also have a Zoo membership so I plan on going to the Zoo as much as they want to.. Should be a fun summer.

Enjoy..

Love...

On Saturday I took the position of photographer at a wedding. My dear Sister-in-Law was hired to assist in photographing a wedding. Well, she's been after me to try it out, so I agreed. It was very wonderful.

This man found a good thing.. It is written in Proverbs (18:22)- Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.

Here is the grooms face as his bride walked down the aisle towards him..

The mother of the bride...I loved their smiles/happiness shining through as she placed the ring on her grooms finger..

And, off to the Caribbean..
So, this was an excellent experience. I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be. And, I'm actually looking forward to the next one in early June.. Hopefully it will be as great as this one.

Have a wonderful day..

So small..

Grandma and Hank took the boys out for a drive in 'The V'...we went to visit some pigs..yes, PIGS.. but what was more fascinating than the pigs was this beautiful sky. A thought entered my head when I walked J to this spot about how small he looked and how large the world looked around him.. I knew what my blog post was going to be about..

Revelations 19:5 states- And a voice came out of the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all ye His servants and ye that fear Him, both small and great!"

For me, I see this is remarkable. You see J, and you know the world is MUCH bigger than our eye can see. And you know and feel that God is always near. He will never leave and will be with you and come to you, all you have to do is ask.

Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God; they spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. Psalm 143:10

J's been walking around singing Jesus Loves Me.... So fitting...

Have a great day..

A DOUBLE and a SINGLE...

So D's game was canceled last evening due to the rain..so I have more of B to share.. He had a GREAT game this evening.. So to those of you who are unfamiliar with how to achieve a great hit.. I'll help you..I mean my wonderful B will..

Step 1: Make sure you're standing in a place where your bat will cover the plate.

Step 2: Concentrate on the pitcher.
Step 3: Use your body to swing and listen for the crack of the ball against the bat and RUN.. (check out that perfect body position for swinging and hitting)..

That hit was good for a DOUBLE!! Went clear out to the outfield..we were so excited..

Step 4: This step is for COACHES..cheer your players on.. Encourage them..

This is B's first base coach congratulating him on another EXCELLENT hit. This one for a single, it also went out to the outfield, but the left fielder got the ball back into the infield quicker..

It's BASEBALL time, and my buddy is doing an AWESOME job at the plate and in his position. B is playing in Left Field. He backs up the third baseman and he keeps all hits from getting past him and gets them back in quickly. Tonight all of his throws were right where they needed to be. You can tell I'm proud of my little guy. He's the youngest and smallest player on his team and I couldn't be more pleased with his progress this year.. Love ya' B..

D was playing in Right Field this evening. If the ball went into the weeds, it was ruled a ground rule double..Well, D had to raise his hand up a few times to inform them it was in the weeds..Hmm..these are looking VERY BLUE on blogger, they really aren't..he's not a smurf, I tell you.

L playing..

So, little 'L' has a WONDERFUL Sunday School teacher.. She taught all of her little Sunday School attendees how to play the harmonica. And L has been practicing often ever since. He practiced for the last two weeks 'Happy Birthday' and has been practicing Amazing Grace. Well today, he went up front of the congregation to play Happy Birthday and ended up playing Amazing Grace and Happy Birthday (HIS way, as I don't think anyone KNEW it was Amazing Grace, BUT we won't tell him that)..He did do a much better job with Happy Birthday though. We'll just keep encouraging him to play and sharing with others..

So, I should have moved up LOTS to get him in there, but I didn't..maybe next time, I'll do better..

But here is my picture for the day..

Baseball and best buddies..

B was playing in center-field, the ball was hit out to him and he quickly got the ball in to where the play action was. He also hit a single and then the following batter hit a triple and B earned a run for his team. GO INDIANS!!

And, this little guy is one of B's 'best buddies'...
