More from the property..

I can't believe it's been over there all these years, and I've just now discovered it..

And Mama, I know you don't like this face but I find it funny to look at.. and for those of you who don't know this, my Mama thinks he looks like an ape when he makes this face.. yeah, his laugh lines are well defined, so what, he's one happy ape when he makes it I guess..

I took him over there yesterday for 20 minutes and I ended up with 35 portraits of him.. Wish I could share them all.. If I knew how to embed a slideshow in here I'd make one and show you all of them..

Enjoy..

D's little family party..

L played Happy Birthday to D yesterday on his harmonica. He's so sweet and is so proud of himself.

D getting a little help blowing out the candles.. Now, I will add here, we did buy him an ice cream cake for yesterday. Saturday we will have a full party with all of our family and friends. We'll make him a cake and decorate- and if you guessed BASEBALL as the them, you are right..

And, well, I have to include a couple of Little J. This is one of his favorites. He simply loves ELMO.

My April 1st Baby...

Eleven years ago, we became a family of 3. D came into our life, weighing 7 pounds 5 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. He had red hair (which has turned strawberry blonde now), and he was just a beautiful baby (of course). His birth was fast and nice. Every year on his birthday, I hear how I prevented many family members from attending our bowling banquet. It's just part of D's birth story. Of course the part I remind Dan is that it was the ONLY time he wanted to take me out for ice cream. I still say he owes me that ice cream he offered to buy me on our way to the hospital.

D is a very smart boy. He has enjoyed books from the beginning. When I fed him, we read. When I had nothing to do, we read. And I just didn't read him baby stories or children's stories. I read him magazine articles, books. It didn't matter what I read, he listened. Now, as he did start to comprehend we changed our stories to ones he would want to hear. His favorite books as a young child were 'Bear's Boat' and 'PJ Funny Bunny'. His favorite characters were The Teletubbies and Caillou. Now D loves to read. His favorite genre is realistic fiction. He doesn't care for fantasy at all.

D loves the Cleveland Indians. GO TRIBE! Yesterday was an exciting day for him. He was able to come home and enjoy the Game Opener at Progressive Field. GO TRIBE!!

So, of course I have to post a recent photo of D to celebrate his 11 th birthday. I took this the other day. We were out playing catch and well, he missed the ball.. Sorry D.. I will be taking him out soon to do some real portraits. I LOVE YOU, Sugar Bear..

Have a great day..

I just like this one..

B's helping me sell some camera equipment I no longer need.. excuse the little bit of tech info on the photo.. I just wanted to post this quickly before we go for lunch- YUM, Grandma and Grandpa's.. Also, here's the deal he made with me, well here's how it went..

B: How much do I get for this?
ME: I don't know.
B: How much are you selling the lenses for?
ME: I should get a 100.00 for each.
B: So, I get $50.00 for each lens?
Me: Yeah, right.
B: $25.00?
Me: Think again.
B: Then what?
Me: How about dinner? Pizza.
B: $15.00?
Me: How about dinner? Pizza, applesauce?
B: $12.00?
Me: How about dinner? Pizza, applesauce, and a cup of milk?
B: hmm...money.
Me: How about dinner? Pizza, applesauce, a cup of milk and ice cream with whipped topping?
B: money?
Me: How about dinner? Pizza, applesauce, a cup of milk ice cream and an EXTRA scoop of ice cream and whipped topping?
B: Okay..

So this picture and others cost me an extra scoop of ice cream in his bowl..

Out of the ones I took showing the lens at different aps, I just loved the quirkiness..(Is that a word?)..

Have a great day..

So here she is : My Easter Lily.I still have to take another image of the full size Lily, wasn't paying too close attention to the background and I'm not happy with them..will try again tomorrow..

Have a great day..

Went for a drive..

Grandpa and Grandma R. took us out for a little drive today..we drove by a neat place for pictures. I've taken some there before for others, but never purposely with my own children.. I really want to go back when it gets warm..WHEN it gets warm, I said. Today the sky was absolutely beautiful (at times) and made you 'think' it was summer, but NOPE, it's still only spring. SOON, soon though..

These really aren't my favorites, I just pull them off the card in random order.. I will say, I just adore the one of Little J's hair blowing in the wind.. Didn't think he had that much hair, now I guess I know..

Eye contact is OVER-rated, right? You can get smiles on all 3 but eye contact, who needs it? ME, I HEART eye contact...but I still love this, as I like seeing closeness of them. They all sat down and got close. Now either they really like each other or they were just cold. Hmm, I think they like each other.

Thanks for looking today..

He can JUMP...

We took 4 of these jumping shots, then he got tired.. This was the first one, the next frame he is looking at me, but unfortunately he's out of focus and those branches are IN focus..the other two he wasn't as high..so this was the only keeper..

This one is much 'cooler' in color but I kind of liked it like that so I didn't color correct.

His idea for pictures today. He said it was nice day and I could take them, and then was like and when we're done, can I have a piece of candy. Um yeah..

Have a great day..

Just one..

This is B and E. E is our niece and she is 4 months younger than B. A couple summers ago, we went camping and several times people mistook these two for twins. Their dark hair, ADORABLE faces and obvious closeness in age is surely why. Mommy/Aunt goggles or whatever it may be, I just love this. E was excited to hear we would be visiting today and enjoyed playing with the boys (poor girl, ONLY has male cousins- both sides of her family ONLY have BOYS!!)..

Thanks for peeking..
