Could it be...something of ME??

So, what do you do when you have your camera with you and you are sitting in a parking lot waiting for your mother to come out of the Post Office? Yeah, you take a picture of yourself.. A VERY rare occasion to see me on that side of the lens, well technically I was still behind it, LOL!! But rare occasion indeed.. (AND, with a smile!! Oh and a new hair cut)..
And, well. What's a post from me without more than one picture? So..here's my little cookie monster.. It takes 2 hands to devour a cookie, right?

Baseball...

It's here.. baseball. So exciting, yet so busy. B's team won their first game this evening. He was walked twice. He had a full count one time and the other time was walked on 4 pitches. He scored a run both times..YAY for him. He played an excellent left fielder tonight. Did his job and backed up his third baseman.

No pictures tonight at the game. My hands were FREEZING!! I did take a couple after school today..
And I believe these are from the neighbors apple tree... It doesn't produce edible apples but the flowers sure are pretty right now..
Alright..I'm exhausted..And have another busy day tomorrow..

A special little one...

This little guy was born just days ago. He was 7 weeks early, and will stay in the Special Care Nursery for a couple weeks. Meet 'JJ', 5 pounds today, 17.9 inches with a FULL head of hair....

Itty Bitty little one..

I just LOVE babies and this little guy was nearly enough to make me want another.. (Key words, nearly enough).. He was a DELIGHT to photograph. Gave me wonderful eye contact while awake and let us move him around when he did fall asleep. Just love those babies..

Happy Birthday 'B'..

We celebrated B's 9th Birthday today..and in honor of his birthday I interviewed him (not my idea, I snagged the idea from another blog)..But it's a great little interview..

What is your favorite food? I don't know, I can't pick.

Who is your best friend? I have 2 best friends, DJ and Vincent.

What is your favorite movie? Bushwacked.

What is your favorite memory? Swimming in the lake when we were camping during our Family get together in Georgia.

What are you most afraid of? The goblins and ogres in the Spiderwick Chronicles.

What is your favorite music/song? I have 2: American Dream by Casting Crowns and Fun, Fun, Fun by the Beach Boys.

What is your favorite activity at school? Math

If you were a parent for a day, which rule would you get rid of? No grounding from the PS3 for misbehavior.

If you could change one thing about 3rd grade, what would it be? No tests. (Add in from mom, they are testing this week, UGH).

What do you want to be when you grow up? A mechanic.

Do you think it would be hard to be a mom and dad? Why? No, because my house would be filled with candy.

What three things do you think you are good at? Math, baseball and football.

What is the best thing about being nine? Having a birthday party and seeing all your friends at the party. Because some of your friends you don't get to see often.

What is the best thing about you? I have fun playing baseball and the coaches move me everywhere so I can know what it's like playing many positions.

Sweet Miss A..

Meet A...she is a very sweet, very smart young lady. I enjoyed our conversation about school, reading and sports. Miss A is originally from out of state and speaks with the cutest accent. I hope to capture Miss A again very soon. Thanks again..

So PROUD of Miss N...

Miss N, 8 years old has been growing her hair forever. She's had little trims from time to time, but no 'real' hair cut' UNTIL now. She recently decided to donate her hair to 'Locks Of Love'. You can check out their website here: http://www.locksoflove.org/.

Locks of Love provides hair pieces to children suffering from medical hair loss. What a gift she has given..

Walking around with J...

These were taken Saturday evening after we returned home. The sun was nearly set, so in photography talk, these were shot at a HIGH ISO, which = grain..but I liked them anyway..

He's sweet isn't he??? Hmmm.

This is the view from the side yard, looking towards the backyard. This really tells you that family lives here, a family of BOYS!! J's actually standing in a hole, the boys have been digging for years. Dan no longer allows them to have shovels, you think that stops them, no, it just slows them down.. I didn't mark the bike trail but you can see it behind J.. it goes clear around the house. And, yes, there is a TYPO, I put 'cards' for cars...OOPS..
J went down the slide, AFTER it had sprinkled. He came down and went hands down on the ground and had to show me his 'DIWT'..

So I love Little J's little curl up on the back of his head. Last evening as the sun was going down the light was just beautiful. I grabbed in and put his back to the setting sun and just loved how his 'curl up' was lit up. We've been thinking of getting his hair cut and well, I just don't know yet, if it's time..


But I think J thinks it's time..


And then, he wanted me to pick him up..
