Mothers of boys will definately know this picture...I see this everyday after the homework is done and sometimes before when they sneak away to a corner to play.

And, yes these are grainy, another ISO 3200 day.. Sorry. I am really enjoying doing this challenge because several months ago my camera would stay in the bag after dark..and now if I can capture it at night time I will... But maybe tomorrow I will try to play with bouncing the flash...

365 Day PhotoChallenge Day #3......

I did get outside to take some pictures today. D was very nice to sit still for me today. I wanted to try to find the 'sweet spot' of my lens. While reviewing it I seen that many suggested stopping down to F4, so that is exactly what I did. And WOW, did I get some sharp images. My color stinks, just a WB setting. I can't use my ExpoDisc with this baby- my expo I think is only 77, and this lens calls for an 82mm.. So I'll either be getting a whibal card or another expodisc. These were taken using my Tamron 28-105mm 2.8. Love the lens, and now I love it stopped down....

Baby J was a sweetheart today too.. The first was taken inside, just under the sunlight coming into the house. The second was taken out on the sidewalk.

And another from our vacation..Just to prove I did go to the ocean. My husband is the videographer and I am the photographer. So, this is about all you will see for a picture of me, as I rarely get in front of the camera.... If you look close, you can see Dan, and Daniel and Luke playing in the ocean... Guess I was a wee bit too wide open...But I still love it..

365 Day PhotoChallenge Day #2......

Why do they look at you so PERFECTLY when you are shooting under terrible conditions? My ISO was still pretty high tonight- 3200, s/s still low 1/60th and below, even with a wide ap..Not good child or baby shooting settings.. your going to get grain as well as motion blur... Sometimes we love it, sometimes it would be nice to just have those perfect sharp eyes and gorgeous color.... He's still perfect to me, though...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And these were shot last night... J's new toy and him 'flying' it...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And as promised one from our vacation...J peeping over, just quick enough for Me to snap it...He peaked and left...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And, the same with a little film grain added..

Tomorrow I will try to get outside and take a few pics. Now that J is walking it 'should' be a little easier.

Thanks for looking,
~Mis

A New Year!! Time just flies by..

2006 is gone and 2007 is here. Baby J turned a year old back in November and Christmas has come and gone. Our nice winter vacation is over and it is time to settle into a new year. Many make New Year's Resolutions hoping to make a 'change' for the new year. I don't know that I want to 'make' a New Year's Resolution. I think I just want to keep doing what I love to do. I love being a wife, a mother, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, a sister, a sister-in-law an aunt and a friend. I have ALL I need, right? I have faith in God, and that can get you anything you need.

A group of photographer friends have come together to post 365 days of photos. Challenging each other to get their cameras out everyday for 365 days. I have joined the challenge, as I usually do take a pic everyday, I am just terrible at blogging everyday, but I will try to do this. So those that check my blog will need to check back ofter and see how I am doing.

I have many pics I will be sharing of the next few days, many from our vacation and even some ond ones I found while digging through my old files. So who knows what you will be seeing..

Baby J got this adorable little transmission fluid can bank from his wonderful Uncle Eddie in FL, he enjoyed walking around the room letting everyone fill it up.

B had so much fun playing in the ocean and sand...

Our favorite dog...Toby..the only dog I will pet, I am just not a dog lover and Toby has been such a good little dog for the boys to get to play with.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And one from the past....Little L with those beautiful eyes of his...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And now my Day 1 Photochallenge- taken last night about 10PM - yes the boys were still up, my bad... I have been forcing myself to just use the camera and not rely on the flash. My camera has the option of shooting with a high ISO, up to 3200. You get more grain, but heh I love the grain... so here's two from last night, one of D and one of L. D was handing me his left over lunch money .15 and L was just playing on the floor and decided himself that Mommy was allowed to take his picture. So of course you grab that chance when they 'want' to look at you.

There's always one in a group.....

Who can't get along with the others...
Here is a funny little outtake from a 'shoot' with Brian. I was trying to capture Brian's newly 'open' area in his mouth - YES, he lost a tooth. He came home from school, with his little tooth in a 'treasure box', and boy was he excited. Seems he and a good buddy of his lost a tooth today.

Well here's my adorable little guy with his missing tooth....and one of my big guy who seems to not be able to get along with the others...LOL.. actually I told Daniel to entertain Luke while I photographed Brian, and this was his interpretation of 'entertain'....

He's 9...and a half....

WOW...Has it really been 9 years since Daniel was born? Time has gone by so fast. Here are some recent shots of Daniel. He is so sweet..when it comes to helping Mommy practice with her camera. But man has he grown up..

And just so you know..these tracks are ONLY used on the weekends for the specials running through the Cuyahoga Valley...So he was in NO danger of a train coming...

I think I have the 4 dirtiest little boys...

My middle two guys just need to walk outside and BAM the dirt sticks to them. The oldest doesn't intend to get dirty, but the dirt finds him too. They have been digging a hole, and now it is approximately 4 feet in diameter and about 2 feet deep. WOW.. They are woking on the tunnels for their hole now.

And if ya'll didn't know there are ONLY 83 more days until Christmas..
SOOOO.....

We will Never Forget...

On this special day, September 11, 2006 I know we need no reminders back to September 11, 2001. We can not live in fear, we can not live in hate and we can not live in anger. We CAN live with LOVE, with LIFE and with GOD... He will protect ALL who believe in HIM, all who LOVE HIM and give their lives to HIM.... I want to THANK Him today for all I have and all I have not, and for HIS love, for without it I could not have life...

"God Bless America,
Land that I love
Stand beside her,
And guide her,
Through the night
With the light from above...."
